“12 year old singer-songwriter David Charlin lives with his family in Almaty.

The young performer won the televised talent competition Baqytty Bala; the chance to represent Kazakhstan at Junior Eurovision was his reward.

This is great news for David, as competing in Yerevan combines his three favourite things: singing, dancing, and travelling.

When he’s not hard at work, he also enjoys skiing, chess, drawing, tennis, and perfecting his drone flying skills - as he learns to shoot and edit aerial footage!”

🇲🇰Lara, Irina en Jovan vertegenwoordigen Noord Macedonië 🇲🇰 met Životot E Pred Mene

“Lara has loved the arts since a very early age, showing a keen interest in music, ballet, literature, and theatre.

She’s an accomplished violinist and has taken part in many competitions and shows, which is how she got to know her friend Irina.

Irina loves playing the piano and is a member of the Piccolo Children’s Choir, which recently had the chance to perform with the country’s Philharmonic Orchestra.

Jovan shares Lara and Irina’s passion for performance, and has a number of awards and titles to his name, including runner-up at the Hip-Hop World Cup in 2018!”

“The 11 year old from Valencia, picked from a total of 95 hopeful applicants, describes his participation in Junior Eurovision as ‘a dream come true.’

Carlos is a pop connoisseur, citing his inspirations as Justin Bieber, Sebastián Yatra, Blas Cantó, and, of course, Spain’s 2022 Eurovision participant, Chanel.

When he’s not singing, the young performer takes part in debate league, recites poetry and loves reading. 

Carlos also looks after his lazy two year old dog named Brownie.”

🇵🇹Nicolas vertegenwoordigd  🇵🇹 Portugal met Anos 70

“Nicolas lives with his family in Torres Vedras, a town near Lisbon. His parents are from Brazil but Nicolas was born in England, where he lived until the age of 10.

The young rockstar found success on The Voice Kids in Portugal, gaining notoriety for his version of The Four Season’s Beggin’ - a song recently popularised by Eurovision winners Måneskin. 

He has a cat called Ben and a dog named Rocky, and in his free time Nicolas likes to play guitar with his brothers, as well as trying out new recipes.

Amongst his favourite artists are Queen and Elvis Presley - so he should get on well with France’s Lissandro, who has similar tastes!”

🇮🇹 Chanel vertegenwoordig 🇮🇹 Italië met BLA BLA BLA  

‘Chanel lives in the small town of Thiene, Italy, with her family and a toothless dog named Rambo.

She’s studied singing and ballet since the age of 4, along with the piano, modern dance and stage art; all of which has come in handy when competing in international competitions such as TMF (Tour Music Fest) 2021, the Italian Performer Cup (2021) and The Coach Contest.

In her free time, Chanel designs jewellery, has a passion for reading books, knitting, and enjoys solving Rubik's Cubes.

Chanel’s favourite things are: good music, books, Eurovision, Harry Styles, and baby animals. Who could argue with that?’

🇬🇧 Freya vertegenwoordig de 🇬🇧 United Kingdom met Lose My Head 

“Freya developed a love of singing after receiving a karaoke machine as a present when she was 5.

During lockdown, the singer-songwriter took the opportunity to release her debut single and write more songs, including I Love The Way, which featured on BBC Introducing. 

In her spare time, Freya enjoys cuddling up with her dog Ruby and watching movies, teaching herself the piano, and following her favourite football team, Tottenham Hotspur.

Cheese and ham toasted sandwiches rank highly amongst the things that make Freya happy.’

Nara vertegenwoordig Armenië met dance

“Nare will represent Armenia, the host country, when Junior Eurovision comes to town on Sunday 11 December.

The young artist loves to sing and dance, and says she’s surprised that her dream of performing on a big stage is already becoming a reality. 

On top of that, Nare’s also excited about the prospect of introducing her new friends from across Europe to her hometown of Yerevan.

The 14 year old will follow in the footsteps of Armenia’s 2021 champion Maléna when she takes to the stage in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex.”

🇫🇷 Lissandro vertegenwoordig 🇫🇷 Frankrijk met Oh Maman!

‘Lissandro is a 13 years old from the small village of Moselle in east France.

He sings in 5 languages, is a professional cartoon dubber, and has a love of all things rock and pop, from Elvis Presley, to the American crooners, through to Bruno Mars.

Being on stage is the best way for this jack of all trades to share his passion for singing, and he describes Junior Eurovision as the ‘adventure of a lifetime’.

When not performing, Lissandro looks after his pet rabbit, Calinou, and a pug named Roxy.’

 🇦🇱 Kejtlin vertegenwoordigd  🇦🇱 Albania met Pakëz Diell 

‘Keijtlin comes from the coastal city of Durrës, Albania, where she lives with her playful pet cat Kiki.

She spends a lot of time by the sea, and finds inspiration in being close to nature.

The 11 year old enjoys the music of Adele, Paloma Faith, and Josh Groban, and her most favourite sportsperson is the inspirational surfer Bethany Hamilton. 

It’s the young singer’s dream to travel the world and meet as many people as possible - and taking part in Junior Eurovision will help her to do just that!’

🇮🇪 Sophie vertegenwoordigd Ireland 🇮🇪 met Solas 

‘Sophie lives in a small village called Mayobridge in County Down, where she began her musical journey.

The 13 year old already has a good deal of stage experience under her belt, having played Young Fiona in Shrek: The Musical (Belfast) and winning BBC School Soloist of the Year 2022. 

The young singer enjoys making funny TikToks with her mum, joking: ‘she doesn’t like it, but I drag her in anyway!’

Sophie is also a registered carer for her disabled older brother, Connor, which takes up a lot of her spare time.’
